Workshops, Training and Continuing Education

I currently provide local training to teachers, paraprofessionals, and other professionals working with children with autism through Humboldt County Office of Education as well as Humboldt State University. I also tutor online classes for ICEP Europe, and I am available as a coach for the Competent Learner Model course of study.

Beginning in Fall 2008 I will be available to provide workshops and customized training on topics in autism, ABA and verbal behavior, and functional analysis for districts, agencies, and programs outside Humboldt County. I also anticipate developing online continuing education courses for behavior analysts on teaching language in the natural environment, ethical issues, and distance supervision. Consultation

I currently provide consultation on a limited basis to agencies and programs affiliated with current or former mentoring clients. Beginning in Fall 2008, I will be available to provide consultation services in conjunction with customized training, with a focus on using a verbal behavior approach to teaching children with autism. Consultation will be available to agencies and schools integrating verbal behavior into existing approaches, or starting up new programs or classrooms using a verbal behavior model.
